What we do

We work alongside children, families, women, farmers, and community leaders to build solutions that last. Our four-part model:Learn, Thrive, Build, and Lead connects education, health, livelihoods, and community leadership to create lasting change.

Our programmes aren’t separate projects. They’re four connected ways into the same goal: a family strong enough to shape its own future.

They’re four connected ways into the same goal: a family strong enough to shape its own future.

Learn: education and youth opportunity

Every child deserves a strong start, and a reason to keep going.

For many children in rural Mpanda-Bubanza, early learning has never been an option. Distance, household costs and the absence of preschools mean thousands start primary school with no structured learning at all.

Thrive: health and nutrition

A healthy child can learn. A healthy family can plan. Community health workers, nutrition support and care for mothers, delivered door to door. Chronic malnutrition affects many children in Burundi, and in rural areas one illness can undo a family’s savings.

Give

A gift of any size supports learning, health, livelihoods and leadership, together.

How the four connect

A child recovering from malnutrition (Thrive) joins our preschool (Learn). Her parents join the farming school and a savings group, so the family can feed itself and pay school fees (Build). And the health workers, Light Mothers and savings-group leaders who make it work are members of the community (Lead). Each movement makes the others last.
